Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Training and Induction: Conduct and supervise induction training for all new site personnel. Monitor HSE training conducted by subcontractors to ensure it meets project standards.
Inspections and Monitoring: Perform daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE protocols. Monitor all HSE issues and track the implementation of corrective actions.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate daily site observation reports, documenting findings and actions taken.
Safety Procedures: Ensure all safety procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), are strictly followed by all workers.
Coordination: Liaise with site management, engineers, and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety and address any immediate concerns.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A relevant professional qualification or certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably within a large-scale construction or infrastructure project.
Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for conducting training and preparing reports.
Proven ability to conduct detailed site inspections and enforce safety protocols.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act quickly in an emergency.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
