Planning Engineer

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track all construction activities, ensuring they align with the project work plan and timeline.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) department to review and approve completed works, ensuring they meet specified standards.
  • Process and manage all engineering-related documents, including project plans, reports, and change orders.
  • Prepare and present regular progress updates and status reports on construction works to the General Manager.
  • Liaise and collaborate with the HSE Engineer, QA/QC Engineer, and EQR Inspectors to ensure on-site execution work complies with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify potential project delays and propose solutions to keep the project on track.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure or real estate development projects.
  • Proven experience with project planning and scheduling software.
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies and project management principles, particularly in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills to effectively liaise with various teams and external parties.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications for a variety of building types, including high-rise commercial and residential structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and address potential project delays.
